Al Anbar (Arabic: الأنبار; al-’Anbār) is a governorate of Iraq. The largest province in Iraq by area, it has one of the lowest population densities in Iraq and shares borders with Syria, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Al Anbar is overwhelmingly Sunni Muslim Arab. Its capital is Ar Ramadi.
